A 16-year-old youth soccer player was killed in a car accident in Turkey
Abdullah Sultanoğlu, a 16-year-old soccer player for the Ankara-based Keçiören Gücü youth team, has died in Turkey after spending several days in the hospital following a traffic accident.
The accident occurred on May 16. According to Turkish media reports, the young athlete crashed his motorcycle into a car.
After the accident, the boy was hospitalized in serious condition and placed in the intensive care unit. Doctors fought for his life for three days, but were unable to save the soccer player.
Abdullah Sultanoglu’s funeral took place on May 19. Law enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
