A 15-year-old teenager from Ukraine has gone missing in Warsaw on the Vistula River — Wawa Hot News 24
In Warsaw, Polish rescue workers are searching for a 15-year-old Ukrainian citizen who went missing while swimming in the Vistula River.
The incident occurred on the right bank of the river near the Gdańsk Bridge, where a group of teenagers was spending time.
The search operation is ongoing, involving specialized equipment, divers, and aircraft, but the boy has not yet been found.
A group of three teenagers, all Ukrainian citizens, were spending time on the riverbank. Later, two of them decided to go into the water to swim, while the third remained on shore to wait for his friends.
According to another local publication, Miejski Reporter, the group consisted of two boys and one girl.
After a while, one of the teenagers successfully made it back to shore after swimming, but his 15-year-old friend suddenly disappeared from view.
Witnesses immediately reported the emergency to emergency services. Numerous personnel and resources were quickly dispatched to the scene, including a fire brigade, rescue workers, medical personnel, and police.
Professional divers were brought in to assist with the large-scale search operations on the water and along the shoreline. An emergency rescue helicopter also flew over the Vistula River to help survey the water from the air.
Despite the efforts of all units, as of Sunday evening, the operation had not yielded any results.
