A plane carrying a Ukrainian model and two businessmen crashed in Venezuela
On September 6, a plane crashed in the Venezuelan city of Ciudad Bolívar; on board were Ukrainian model Sofia Komar and Venezuelan brothers and entrepreneurs Domingo Arnaldo and Guillermo Alfredo Amaro Chacón.
All three passengers survived but sustained injuries. Detailed information about their condition and whereabouts has not yet been disclosed.
According to El Pitazo, the plane had arrived in Ciudad Bolívar to refuel before continuing on to Caracas. Photos released from the scene show that the lower part of the aircraft was partially burned.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. Venezuelan authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
Journalists also drew attention to photos of Sofia Komar on social media. According to their speculation, prior to the accident, she and the Amaro brothers had been vacationing for more than five days in Canaima National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
At the same time, the Amaro brothers are mentioned in a case involving former Spanish Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero. According to El Pitazo, Spain’s Directorate for the Fight Against Economic and Financial Crimes (UDEF) investigated companies linked to the entrepreneurs due to suspicions of the transfer of millions of euros and a possible link between these funds and companies associated with Zapatero’s inner circle.
