In Vienna, a woman gave birth to a daughter right at McDonald’s
In Vienna, the capital of Austria, a baby girl named Emily was born right inside a McDonald’s restaurant. Labor began unexpectedly, and the baby was born after medical personnel arrived.
Monika went into labor on her way to the hospital, so she had to stop. There happened to be a McDonald’s nearby, so the delivery took place there. Restaurant employees helped bring the baby girl into the world.
The baby’s father, Vasile, arrived later, after finishing his night shift at work. Paramedics arrived after the baby was born. “The fact that a baby was born in one of our McDonald’s restaurants is truly an extraordinary event,” said restaurant manager Harald Marshalek.

Yes, Emily was born at McDonald’s. A few weeks after her birth, the parents and their newborn were invited to the restaurant. The company had prepared a surprise for the family.

The girl received a special McDonald’s customer card. Now she can celebrate her birthday for free at any McDonald’s restaurant with her family and friends every year until she turns 18.

The family also had a photo shoot and received a branded high chair and some baby items from McDonald’s. In addition, Emily was treated to a newborn photo shoot.
