Security measures in the city
According to Iran International, several ambulances were sent to the area where the shooting took place. Checkpoints were set up on nearby streets.
A significant number of security personnel, plainclothes law enforcement officers and employees of various agencies were also deployed in the city. Entrances to and exits from Zahedan were reportedly temporarily closed.
