Ukraine and Poland plan to sign an agreement on joint control at border crossing points in the near future. The prime minister announced this, noting that the agreement is intended to simplify border crossings and enhance border security.

This was reported with reference to Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

Svyrydenko held a meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. According to the official, the meeting focused on cooperation between the two countries in defense, energy, bilateral trade, and the development of border and logistics infrastructure.

“In the near future, we expect to conclude an agreement on joint control at border crossing points and to resolve technical issues related to the registration of Ukrainian carriers in the Sent/Rmpd system,” she said.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers noted that the governments of the two countries also plan to strengthen cooperation between the energy companies Naftogaz and Orlen.

Svyrydenko met with Tusk in Rzeszów and discussed defense cooperation.

On the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko unveiled unique artifacts related to the tragedy.

The 2027 state budget plans to allocate funding for a resilience service, which is set to become a permanent state program following a successful pilot launch in communities.
