Ukraine will open a new consulate in Poznań, Poland
On July 23, Ukraine will open a new consulate in Poznań, Poland. This was announced by Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga, according to “European Truth.”
According to the foreign minister, the decision was made due to the need for consular services in regions where the number of Ukrainians is growing. He noted that there are approximately 170,000 Ukrainians in Poznań and the surrounding region.
Sybiga noted that until recently, people in this region had to travel halfway across the country to obtain a passport or resolve consular matters. He added that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is expanding the network of Ukrainian diplomatic missions in line with citizens’ needs.
“We strive to make consular services more accessible, more convenient, and simpler, so that people’s interactions with the state require less time and effort,” Sibiga concluded.
Last December, a Ukrainian vice-consulate began operations in Rzeszów, Poland. Prior to that, Ukraine had opened a consulate general in Prešov, Slovakia.
