Last month, for the first time since the start of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine surpassed Russia in the number of drone attacks. At the same time, both sides significantly increased their use of drones and missiles, and Russian air defenses reportedly shot down hundreds of drones every day.

The article states that, according to data from the aggressor country’s Ministry of Defense, its air defense forces shot down 7,347 Ukrainian drones in March—237 drones per day. At the same time, it is noted that these figures refer to downed drones, while the number of drones deployed by Ukraine remains unknown.
The publication reported that, according to data from the Ukrainian Air Force, over 6,462 Russian drones and 138 missiles of various types were shot down last month. Of these, 5,833 drones and 102 missiles were successfully neutralized or intercepted.
ABC News noted that in March, the aggressor country set a new record for the scale of its air attacks, deploying approximately 6,600 drones and missiles. The most intense strike occurred on March 24, when the occupiers launched an attack on Ukraine using 948 drones and 34 missiles.
At the same time, the publication suggests that data from the past month indicates a possible shift in the balance of power in Ukraine’s favor. It notes that Kyiv’s long-term efforts to develop drones and missiles are beginning to yield results.
