Meloni government became the longest-serving in Italy’s postwar history
On September 4, Giorgia Meloni’s government was set to become the longest-serving in Italy’s postwar history. On that day, Meloni was expected to have led the same administration for 1,413 days — one day longer than the longest period in power of Silvio Berlusconi’s administration.
Rally in Bari
As The Hindu International reports, Meloni planned to mark the record with a rally in Bari. The event was expected to gather thousands of her supporters, while protests were to take place nearby.

Meloni leads the right-wing Brothers of Italy party. Her government has survived despite crises in other parties of the ruling coalition.
