Urmas Reinsalu leads poll on Estonia’s prime minister — ERR News
In Estonia, Isamaa party leader Urmas Reinsalu has topped the ranking of preferred candidates for prime minister. According to ERR News, he was supported by 24% of respondents in the latest Norstat poll. Mihhail Kõlvart of the Centre Party came second with 23%.

Martin Helme of EKRE ranked third with 14%. Incumbent Prime Minister Kristen Michal of the Reform Party and Lavly Perling of Parempoolsed received 12% each. Lauri Läänemets of the Social Democratic Party received 9%, while Kristina Kallas of Eesti 200 received 6%.
Compared with the previous month, the share of respondents who prefer Michal as prime minister increased by two percentage points. Among Isamaa supporters, Reinsalu was backed by 81%. The most popular candidates among supporters of other parties were Helme among EKRE voters with 80%, Kõlvart among Centre Party supporters with 77%, Perling among Parempoolsed supporters with 74%, Michal among Reform Party voters with 70%, and Läänemets among Social Democratic supporters with 58%.

Head-to-head comparison of candidates
Respondents were also asked to choose between two candidates. In the Reinsalu-Michal matchup, 50% of respondents chose the former and 24% the latter, while 26% were undecided. In a comparison between Kõlvart and Michal, 44% preferred Kõlvart, 36% preferred Michal, and 21% were undecided.
In the Reinsalu-Kõlvart matchup, the Isamaa leader received 53% support, while Kõlvart received 30%; 17% of respondents were undecided. The poll was conducted on September 7–13 among 1,000 Estonian citizens of voting age. The results are presented without taking into account the responses of those who were undecided. The study combined telephone and online polling, with most participants surveyed by phone.
