Human rights activists say more than 3,600 people were detained in Iran during the war

Since the start of the war with the United States and Israel, at least 3,646 people have been detained in Iran.

This was reported by the human rights organization Iran Human Rights.

According to its data, at least 767 detentions have occurred since the ceasefire was announced on April 8.

At least 111 human rights defenders, political activists, and civilians have been identified among those detained. Some of them are being held in complete isolation.

Human rights activists note that the actual number of detainees may be significantly higher due to restricted access to information and internet shutdowns.

The detentions were carried out by various security agencies, including the Ministry of Intelligence, units of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and the police.

Most detainees are accused of espionage, ties to foreign intelligence services, or passing on information about critical facilities.

The highest number of detentions has been recorded in Iran’s western provinces and in Tehran.

Trumpexpressed his willingness to meet personally with Iran’s new leadership.

U.S. President Donald Trump also announced progress in negotiations with Iran, under which Washington would allegedly receive all of Tehran’s enriched uranium without any financial payments.

Additionally, Israel agreed to a 10-day ceasefire with Lebanon and announced the start of a move toward a diplomatic settlement; however, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized that the war against Hezbollah is not yet over and military operations will continue.
