In Spain, a bus crashed into a building; more than 40 people were injured

A major traffic accident involving an intercity bus occurred in the city of Lleida, Spain. Forty-three people were injured in the accident, four of whom are in critical condition.

The accident occurred on Wednesday morning in the central part of Lleida, which is located west of Barcelona

The intercity bus, carrying 55 passengers, had just left the city bus station when, for unknown reasons, it veered off the road and crashed into the facade of the provincial council building.

According to preliminary reports, 43 people were injured. Of those, four are in critical condition, and nine others sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The bus driver was not injured.

Law enforcement officials are currently determining the causes of the traffic accident, and an official investigation is underway.

Earlier, a horrific traffic accident involving a passenger bus occurred in the Turkish province of Denizli, resulting in the deaths of eight people, including a nine-month-old infant. Another 33 people sustained injuries of varying severity and were rushed to the hospital. 

In the Chinese capital, a light aircraft crashed into the 109-story China Zun (CITIC Tower) skyscraper, which is the tallest building in Beijing.
