Vance explained why Trump falls asleep during public events
U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance explained why Donald Trump sometimes falls asleep during public events. Such incidents attract attention and raise questions about the U.S. president’s health.
According to Vance, the 80-year-old Trump often works well past midnight and may call members of the administration at any time of day or night. It is precisely this schedule, he explained, that may be the reason the president falls asleep during public events.
After Trump sparked widespread concern over his tendency to fall asleep during public events, Vance was compelled to comment on the situation. Specifically, the politician appeared on the All In podcast, where he discussed various topics, including Trump’s health.
Vance said that Trump often works past midnight, even calling members of the administration early in the morning and asking, “Aren’t you asleep yet?”
“Scott Bessent always jokes that he calls us at 2:30 a.m. and asks, ‘Are you up yet?’ And we reply: ‘No, sir, I’m not up yet, but I’m getting up now! He works around the clock," Vance said.
It’s well known that Trump became the oldest person in U.S. history to be elected president. As a result, he’s constantly surrounded by rumors about his health.
Recently, during the September 11 commemorations, Trump allegedly fell asleep several times and was seen slumped in a chair with his eyes closed and his head down. However, the White House has denied these claims.
