Vance cynically boasted about cutting off aid to Ukraine

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance made a high-profile statement regarding a shift in Washington’s foreign policy.

During a conversation with media representatives, he emphasized that the U.S. presidential administration considers the decision to stop directly funding the Ukrainian army to be one of its key achievements.

According to the vice president, the United States has transferred responsibility for supplying Kyiv with military equipment to its European allies.

Vance emphasized that Washington no longer intends to act as the primary supplier of weapons in this conflict.

“One of the things I’m most proud of as a representative of the administration is that we told Europe: if you want to buy weapons, go ahead, but the United States is no longer buying or sending weapons to Ukraine. We’ve stepped back from this process,” stated J.D. Vance.

It is worth recalling that after Donald Trump took office for a second term as U.S. president, approaches to providing aid underwent a radical transformation.

Direct budgetary allocations for Ukraine’s military needs were gradually phased out in favor of new collective mechanisms.

Direct tranches were replaced by the PURL program, developed jointly with NATO experts.

Its operation allows for supplying Ukrainian defense forces with critically important American technologies that have no equivalents in European countries, though under a different financial framework.

International observers noted high voter turnout in Hungary’s parliamentary elections but stated that candidates lacked equal opportunities due to systemic advantages enjoyed by the ruling party. However, this did not help the party.

As a reminder, according to the results of 98.93% of the votes counted, the Fidesz party received 69.35% of the vote. This gives the opposition 138 seats in parliament, allowing it to form a constitutional majority on its own.
