The FIFA presidential election will take place in March 2027
The 77th Congress of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), at which the organization’s president will be elected, will take place on March 18, 2027. The event will be held in Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Important decisions regarding the development of global soccer are also expected to be made during the congress.
This was announced by FIFA President Gianni Infantino at the FIFA Congress in Vancouver.
Infantino noted that an extraordinary FIFA Congress will be held virtually on November 23, 2026. At that meeting, a decision will be made regarding the hosts of the 2031 and 2035 Women’s World Cups.
“As for the 77th Congress next year, it will take place in Rabat on March 18, 2027,” Infantino said.
Earlier, Infantino spoke about his intention to run for re-election as FIFA president.
