Military personnel, rescue workers, and aircraft have been deployed to fight the fire. Firefighters are attempting to contain the blaze using firefighting planes and helicopters.
Strong winds are complicating the situation and contributing to the spread of the flames, making it impossible to bring the fire under control so far.
A large forest fire broke out in the mountains near the Greek city of Corinth, forcing local authorities to begin evacuating several settlements.
