From September 21 to October 1, Azerbaijan will host the “Strength of Unity—2026” military exercises. Service members from Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan will take part in them.

“The exercises will take place in three phases at several locations: at the “Gizilgaya” training center in the Karabakh Economic Region, the “Garabaglar” center in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and the “Beyuk-Zirya” training area in Azerbaijan’s waters of the Caspian Sea,”, the statement said.

The exercises will involve personnel, military equipment, naval and aviation assets, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles. The purpose of the exercises is to enhance readiness for joint operations, improve coordination among forces, standardize training procedures, and refine the units’ new combat capabilities.

The Turkish Ministry of Defense notes that during “Force of Unity – 2026,” the exercises will focus on countering hybrid threats, as well as planning and conducting joint operations. Turkish military personnel and aircraft have already arrived in Azerbaijan.

Earlier, the Turkish Ministry of Defense had warned of the threat posed by the Houthis to the region.
