Video: Iran attacked a Thai container ship in the Strait of Hormuz
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) struck a Thai cargo ship that was attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz without authorization from Iranian authorities.
Official Tehran confirmed the attack, stating that it was tightening control over the strategically important sea route.
Representatives of Iran’s military command emphasized that the vessel had ignored established navigation rules and identification requirements.
The IRGC stressed that any attempts at unauthorized passage through territorial waters controlled by the country would be harshly suppressed.
“Any such attempts will be nipped in the bud,” the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated, commenting on the attack on a civilian container ship.
As a reminder, Trump stated that the U.S. does not need the Strait of Hormuz.
The countries are also ready to take action in the Strait of Hormuz, but only after a ceasefire.
