Video: A major fire broke out at a factory in the Leningrad Region of the Russian Federation
On the night of July 21, a large-scale fire broke out at an industrial park in the city of Vsevolozhsk, Leningrad Oblast. The fire engulfed a polymer materials manufacturing plant, and the area affected by the blaze reached 5,900 square meters.
The fire was reported at the following address: Vsevolozhsk, Vsevolozhsky Prospekt. Upon arrival, fire and rescue units determined that a production and warehouse building at the plant, where polymer materials are manufactured, was on fire.
More than 50 firefighters and 20 pieces of specialized equipment were deployed to extinguish the fire. According to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, firefighting efforts were complicated by the high fire load inside the building and strong winds. Subsequently, Russian authorities announced that the fire had been contained within the entire area of the blaze.
Photos and videos from the scene spread across social media and Telegram channels. The published footage shows intense flames and a thick column of black smoke rising above the industrial park. Incidentally, residents report hearing explosions and seeing the smoke not only in Vsevolozhsk but also in Yanino.
As of the time of publication, Russian authorities have not reported any casualties. No official information regarding the cause of the fire has been released either.
Alexander Drozdenco, governor of the Leningrad Region, has not publicly commented on the incident.
Monitoring organizations and several Ukrainian media outlets noted that the incident occurred within the “Ladoga” industrial park, where several industrial enterprises operate. At the same time, as of now, there is no confirmed information indicating a link between the fire and combat operations or a drone attack. Russian official authorities have not reported on these circumstances.
Earlier, the General Staff reported that three tankers and key Russian facilities had been struck overnight.
As a reminder, the 425th Separate Assault Regiment “Skelya” confirmed that two Ukrainian soldiers who appeared in a video released by Russian propagandists were taken prisoner during the fighting in Kostiantynivka. The unit emphasized that this does not mean the loss of the city or the failure of the operation, and stated that they will work to bring their soldiers home.
