Video: A "prashcha," a new weapon against Ukrainian drones, was unveiled in Moscow

A video from Russia has surfaced online showing a man demonstrating a slingshot and calling it a “very effective tool” for combating Ukrainian drones.

In the footage, an elderly man shows the slingshot, loads it with a stone, and demonstrates how it works, claiming that it can supposedly be effective against drones. According to the video’s captions, he also plans to sell this device.

The footage was likely recorded on the grounds of the Museum of the History of the Navy in Moscow’s “Northern Tushino” Park. A Soviet A-90 “Orlyonok” ekranoplan, which is a museum exhibit, can be seen in the video.

Note that a sling is an ancient hand-held projectile weapon designed to throw stones or other small projectiles.

As a reminder, amid massive attacks by the Ukrainian Defense Forces on Russian oil refineries and fuel infrastructure, a new trend is spreading in Russia—so-called “gasoline camping.”

In the temporarily occupied Crimea, fuel shortages could escalate into a much more serious crisis. Due to logistical difficulties on the peninsula, prices have already begun to rise, lines are forming, and residents are increasingly stocking up on essential goods.
