Mass protests against the current government are taking place in the Czech capital—according to estimates, nearly half a million people have taken to the streets of Prague.

Protesters marched under the slogan “We won’t let them steal our future” and voiced their opposition to government policies.

Among the main reasons for the discontent are the possible softening of rhetoric toward Russia, the growing influence of oligarchs, and the initiative to pass a law on “foreign agents,” which, according to critics, may resemble Russian legislation.

As a reminder, the Czech Parliament approved the 2026 budget with cuts to defense spending and aid to Ukraine.

The Czech Republic has also unveiled record mobilization plans for 2026.
