Video: Zelenskyy Arrives in Serbia for His First Official Visit
On August 7, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy paid his first official visit to Serbia. The trip comes as Belgrade remains the only country in Europe that has not imposed sanctions on Russia over its war against Ukraine.
This is the Ukrainian leader’s first trip to Serbia during his term in office. He is scheduled to meet with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
It should be noted that Serbia is the only country in Europe that has not imposed sanctions on Russia over its war against Ukraine. At the same time, Vučić himself visited Kyiv in July of this year for the “Ukraine–Southeast Europe” summit.
Incidentally, during the “Ukraine–Southeast Europe” summit in Kyiv, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that Belgrade fully supports Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He also announced an increase in humanitarian aid, support for Ukraine’s energy sector, and Serbia’s participation in the reconstruction of Ukrainian cities.

British Defense Minister Wes Streeting made his first visit to Kyiv since taking office. He came to personally assess Ukraine’s needs ahead of winter and determine the next steps for military support.
Zelenskyy suggested that Ukraine is being denied air defense missiles in an attempt to coerce it into negotiations with Russia.
