Iran war to last at least two more weeks without expected fall of ayatollah regime

Israeli outlet Ynet reports citing sources that the Iran war will continue for at least two more weeks and is unlikely to end with the overthrow of the ayatollah regime. This update is significant as it dampens expectations for swift political change in the country.

According to the report, the initial euphoria marking the start of the operation has been replaced by disappointment and pessimism because the Iranian regime still appears stable. Scenarios involving possible uprisings against the government or other regime change options are considered unlikely. Additionally, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is reportedly preparing public opinion for the possibility that the war may not conclude with the regime’s collapse. Meanwhile, the US is urging Israel not to strike Iran’s energy infrastructure amid rising gasoline prices and public shock in the United States.

Therefore, the conflict may be prolonged, and the political crisis in Iran may not be quickly resolved, posing continued challenges for the region and global security.
