Vučić expressed support for Ukraine's territorial integrity
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that his country supports Ukraine’s territorial integrity in accordance with the UN Charter. According to him, Serbia has no reservations or “buts” on this issue. Vučić made these remarks at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Belgrade.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of issues. Vučić specifically emphasized Serbia’s position on Ukraine’s territorial integrity. “We discussed various topics. And what I consider most important is that Serbia—and I, as President of Serbia—emphasize that we support the UN Charter and UN resolutions, which means the territorial integrity of all UN member states, including the territorial integrity of Ukraine,” the Serbian president stated.
According to him, this position is based on the principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations. Vučić also thanked Ukraine for supporting Serbia’s territorial integrity. “For our part, we will continue this principled policy—there are no ‘buts’ on this issue. I am saying this very clearly and decisively now, just as I have said it before,” he emphasized.
Thus, the Serbian president confirmed that Belgrade will continue to support the principle of Ukraine’s territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders. The statement was made during Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit to Belgrade and his talks with Serbian leaders.
Serbia will provide Ukraine with a new package of humanitarian aid. It will include support in the fields of medicine and energy.
