X will step up its efforts to combat hate speech and terrorist content in the UK

The social media platform X, owned by Elon Musk, has agreed to strengthen protections for users in the UK against illegal hate speech and terrorism-related content.

This was announced by the British regulator Ofcom.

Under the agreement, the platform will review posts that may contain illegal hate speech or terrorist content within 24 hours on average, and at least 85% of such material within 48 hours.

X has also committed to restricting access in the UK to accounts linked to banned terrorist organizations and to reporting quarterly to the regulator on the results of this work.

In addition, the company will engage independent experts to improve its content complaint system following criticism from civil society organizations.

Elon Musk stated that a degree is not always an indicator of quality education.

American billionaire Elon Musk has amended his lawsuit against OpenAI, demanding that the company’s CEO, Sam Altman, be removed from the board of directors of the controlling charitable foundation. The entrepreneur is also seeking more than $150 billion in damages from OpenAI and Microsoft.
