Zelenskyy named four countries whose accession would make the EU the strongest in the world
Turkey, Norway, the United Kingdom, and Ukraine could help the European Union become the most powerful union with the best security system.
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to Ukrinform.
The head of state emphasized that Ukraine is not seeking an alternative to EU membership, but he is convinced that the potential of these four countries would significantly strengthen the union. According to him, even individually, each of these states is a powerful player on the international stage.
Zelenskyy specifically highlighted the combination of Ukraine’s and Turkey’s resources, which could significantly strengthen security in the region. The combined military resources of these countries could become decisive in the Black Sea basin and allow for effective control of the airspace.
The President also noted that integrating such defense capabilities is strategically important for all of Europe. Ukraine has already established a framework for working with partners to unlock financial assistance.
Strengthening cooperation in this format is viewed as a tool for deterring future threats. The military-technical capabilities of these states will form the basis for creating a new security architecture on the continent.
The Lord Mayor of the City of London, the United Kingdom’s largest financial center, stated that Britain’s exit from the European Union has turned into a “real disaster” for the business cluster.
We also note that the United Kingdom and Switzerland have signed a post-Brexit financial services agreement aimed at bringing Europe’s two largest banking centers closer together.
