Zelenskyy was briefed on the negotiations in Florida
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a working meeting with the Ukrainian delegation that had returned from the United States following talks at the residence of U.S. President Donald Trump.
The head of state reviewed the key points, opportunities, and challenges discussed during the meetings in Florida.
During the briefing, particular attention was paid to the development of security guarantees, which are intended to serve as the foundation for ending the war.
The President emphasized that the key to lasting peace lies precisely in the security issue, despite the complex geopolitical situation in the world.
“The team reported on what was actually discussed in Florida: the key points, opportunities, and challenges. The most important thing is to work out security guarantees in such a way that they allow us to move closer to ending the war. It is in security that the key to peace lies,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted in his address.
The President noted that the war against Iran has significantly complicated the global situation, which bolsters the confidence of the Russian aggressor.
According to the Ukrainian side, Russia continues to destabilize Europe and supports the Iranian regime with intelligence data, prolonging conflicts in various regions.
“But the fundamental circumstances have not changed. Russia continues this war and destabilization in Europe, supports the Iranian regime with intelligence data, and thus prolongs the war in that region, while also preparing for new conflicts in the coming years. This threat of constant war in various regions must be stopped,” the head of state emphasized.
According to Zelenskyy, the global threat can only be stopped through the joint efforts of the United States, Europe, and other global actors.
He called for meetings at the level of heads of state to make final decisions that could bring an end to hostilities.
As a reminder, Zelenskyy discussed gas supplies with the President of Mozambique.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also approved a plan for new military operations against Russia.
