Epstein's victims are suing Trump and Google over the disclosure of personal data

A group of victims of Jeffrey Epstein’s actions has filed a class-action lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Justice and Google.

This was reported by NBC.

The lawsuit was filed in response to the disclosure of confidential information about the victims as part of the release of archived files related to the high-profile case of the sex offender.

The plaintiffs claim that the administration, led by U.S. President Donald Trump, made a grave error in publishing the documents.

As a result, the personal data of about 100 people became accessible to the general public, leading to the re-traumatization of the victims.

“The victims claim that due to the disclosure of the information, approximately 100 people were identified before the whole world, causing new trauma: they are receiving threats, calls, and letters from strangers,” the group’s legal representatives note in the lawsuit.

Separate claims have been filed against tech giant Google.

Although the U.S. government subsequently attempted to remove confidential data from official resources, the search engine continues to display it in search results and content generated by artificial intelligence.

The victims are demanding that the Department of Justice pay compensation of at least $1,000 per victim.

The plaintiffs expect Google to pay punitive damages and immediately remove personal information from all digital platforms.

“The victims’ lawyers emphasize that no survivor of sexual violence should live in fear that a stranger will instantly learn about their worst trauma through an internet search,” the defense’s statement reads.

As a reminder, new files have revealed details of how Epstein selected girls.

Jeffrey Epstein may also have been part of a covert operation by Russian intelligence agencies.
