Trump's advisers are urging him to limit impromptu interviews

Aides to U.S. President Donald Trump are urging him to limit his off-the-record interactions with the media, as the leader’s controversial statements are undermining diplomatic communication. The team’s concerns have intensified due to the president’s sharp and uncoordinated remarks amid the escalating situation in the Middle East.

This is reported by The Wall Street Journal.

According to the publication, Trump has repeatedly called journalists without consulting the White House staff, making statements that differ from the official position. His inner circle believes that such improvisations reinforce a sense of instability and create problems in relations with allies. Despite these warnings, the president often ignores this advice and even jokes with his press secretary about releasing important news without her knowledge.

Advisers emphasize that in tense situations involving the interests of Iran and Russia, every word must be carefully weighed. Trump periodically agrees to his aides’ requests to be more restrained, but eventually returns to his usual style of direct communication with the press. The team continues to work on stabilizing the information landscape surrounding the administration’s actions.

U.S. President Donald Trump convened an emergency meeting in the White House Situation Room due to the threat of renewed war with Iran. The risk of large-scale hostilities next week arose after Tehran announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and attacks on ships.

Iran has again restricted ship traffic through the Strait of Hormuz following the conflict with the U.S. Tehran claims this is a response to Washington’s actions.

Trump stated that the U.S. wants to obtain Iranian uranium by any means necessary.
