Video: Protests against Fedorov's resignation continue in several Ukrainian cities

Protests against the resignation of Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov are continuing in a number of Ukrainian cities. In particular, people have taken to the streets in support of the minister in Kropyvnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv. 

 

In Kropyvnytskyi, as of 9:30 a.m., about 60 participants had gathered at Heroes of Maidan Square. They are protesting Fedorov’s resignation and holding signs calling for him to remain in office.

 

In Vinnytsia, protesters gathered near the city council building to express their opposition to personnel changes in the government and the dismissal of the defense minister.

In Mykolaiv, around 10:00 a.m., about 30 people took to the streets. Participants held signs reading “Vova, there’s a problem,” “You’re fighting the wrong war,” and “My love, we’re killing innovation.”

In Odesa, the protest took place on Deribasovskaya Street. Protesters carried signs reading “Bring Fedorov Back,” “Don’t Replace Those Who Are Changing the Country,” and “The Kremlin Thanks You for the Personnel Changes.”

In Kharkiv, participants gathered in Shevchenko Park. They held signs calling for Fedorov’s reinstatement and speaking out against his resignation.

Also, in downtown Zaporizhzhia, according to Suspilne, about 60 people took to the streets with signs opposing his resignation.

This is being reported by regional Telegram channels and local media.

As a reminder, a protest is underway in Kyiv against the removal of Mykhailo Fedorov from his post as Ukraine’s defense minister, along with the entire government. More than a thousand people have gathered in the square next to the Ivan Franko Theater, not far from the Office of the President of Ukraine.

A protest against Mykhailo Fedorov’s dismissal has begun in Lviv.

Deputy Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force Pavlo Yelizarov announced that he had submitted his resignation. 

Mykhailo Fedorov, summarizing his work as defense minister, reported that a successful test of a Ukrainian ballistic missile took place on July 14.

Following his decision to resign, Mykhailo Fedorov published his first statement, in which he summarized his work and identified the tasks that had not been fully accomplished.
