Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attended a gala evening hosted by music producer David Foster in Victoria, British Columbia. The event was held to celebrate the 40th anniversary of his charitable foundation.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex posed with 76-year-old Foster and his 42-year-old wife, actress and singer Katherine McPhee. Harry chose a classic black tuxedo for the event, while Meghan Markle wore a long, one-shoulder black dress by the Canadian brand Greta Constantine.
The Duchess’s jewelry drew particular attention. Markle wore sapphire and diamond earrings that had previously belonged to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. She paired them with a low bun.
Other pieces from Diana’s collection now owned by Meghan include butterfly-shaped earrings, a Cartier diamond bracelet, a Cartier Tank Louis watch, and an aquamarine ring from Asprey.
David Foster is a Canadian-American musician, composer, and producer who has won 16 Grammy Awards and been nominated for 45.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been friends with Foster for a long time. In 2019, he helped the couple arrange a stay at the estate of a close friend on Vancouver Island. His wife, Catherine McPhee, has known Meghan since their school days—they attended the same school.
