This was reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
In a statement, the agency noted that the actor “brought wisdom, humor, strength, and soul to every role,” and his voice became a part of the lives of many generations of viewers.
Tom Kane was born on April 15, 1962, in Kansas. He began voice acting while still in school and launched his professional career after graduating from the University of Kansas. “I didn’t work on becoming Yoda. I just watched the movies dozens of times, so that voice was already in my head,” the actor recalled in an interview.
Kane also voiced Professor Utonium and the villain HIM in the animated series “The Powerpuff Girls” (orig. “The Powerpuff Girls”), voiced Woodhouse in “Archer,” Magneto and Ultron in Marvel projects, and also worked on “Kim Possible,” “Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends” and “The Wild Thornberrys.”
In addition to animation, the actor was the official voice of the Walt Disney World monorail system and served as an announcer for several Academy Awards ceremonies.
