Ningxia launches pilot model for inspecting agricultural exports
China's Ningxia region has launched a pilot model for inspecting agricultural food products for export by production batches. The first batch of broccoli to Malaysia was cleared by Zhongwei Customs, ECNS reports, citing Yinchuan Customs.

The mechanism was introduced by the General Administration of Customs of China. It provides for a transition from supervising individual export batches to managing product production batches.
After the first batch undergoes a full inspection and testing, subsequent shipments from the same entity may be released directly if no risks are identified. Officials said this should reduce clearance time and cut costs.

Products for the pilot
The pilot project is aimed at stable and frequent supplies of vegetables to the region's regular partners. Fresh broccoli, Chinese kale and apples were included in the model trial. Officials expect the mechanism to improve export efficiency while maintaining strict quality standards.
From January to July, Zhongwei exported fresh vegetables worth 160 million yuan, or $23.6 million. Goji berry exports were valued at 56 million yuan, while frozen French fries amounted to 167 million yuan.
