Soldiers from the Skelya Regiment captured an invader using a drone – video

Operators of unmanned aerial vehicles from the 425th Separate Assault Regiment “Skelya” of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Ground Forces carried out a unique operation in the Pokrovsk sector of Donetsk Oblast. Thanks to precise and coordinated aerial reconnaissance efforts, they were able to remotely capture a soldier from the Russian occupation forces.

To carry out this mission, Ukrainian defenders used a quadcopter specially equipped with an audio alert system. Using audio commands, the UAV operators remotely directed the invader’s movements and guided him along a safe route toward Ukrainian positions.

The entire operation lasted several hours under continuous visual surveillance from the air. The drone crews accompanied the Russian soldier the entire way, issuing strict orders regarding safety measures—in particular, they forced him to discard all suspicious items and equipment.

After aerial reconnaissance confirmed that the combatant was completely unarmed, he was escorted to a prearranged location. There, the occupier was met and successfully detained by a ground team from the “Skelya” assault regiment.

This was reported by the news portal Censor.NET.

Earlier, drone operators from the Ukrainian Defense Forces detected three Russian soldiers and, using a drone, forced them to lay down their weapons. The released footage shows the occupiers emerging from the forest with their hands raised, demonstrating their willingness to voluntarily surrender.

Ukrainian defenders captured a 20-year-old Russian soldier named Alexander, who belongs to the Dolgan people—an indigenous, small Turkic ethnic group of the North.
