Denis Berinchik is training in Bukovel for his fight against British boxer Sam Knox
Former WBO lightweight world champion Denys Berinchyk continues to train for his next fight. The 38-year-old Ukrainian boxer posted photos on social media from his training camp in Bukovel.
In the photos, Berinchik is training alongside Vitalii Znak, Yaroslav Khartsyz’s coach. The Ukrainian is conducting the main phase of his fight preparation in the Carpathian Mountains.
The boxer’s team decided to hold the training camp in Ukraine, in part to optimize costs for the training process.
It was previously reported that Ukrainian specialist Yuriy Tkachenko, who once worked with Oleksandr Usyk, could become Berinchik’s new coach.
Berinchik will fight his next bout on August 29 at London’s O2 Arena. His opponent will be British boxer Sam Nokes.
Nokes has 18 wins on his professional record—16 of them by stoppage—and one loss.
The bout will take place on the undercard of the Queensberry Promotions boxing event. The main event of the show will be a heavyweight bout between Moses Ituma and Filip Hrgovic.
For the Ukrainian, this upcoming bout will be his first time in the ring since February 2025.
At that time, Berinchik lost by stoppage to American Keishon Davis and lost his WBO lightweight world title.
Currently, the Ukrainian boxer’s professional record stands at 19 wins—nine by knockout—and one loss.
Thus, the fight against Sam Nokes will be an opportunity for Berinchyk to get back on the winning track after his first loss in his professional career.

As a reminder, former light heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk is no longer working with the promotional company Zuffa Boxing. The company invoked a clause in the contract that allowed it to terminate the agreement in the event of the athlete’s defeat.
