A mandatory evacuation has been ordered for 16 more settlements in the Mykolaivska, Petropavlivska, and Ukrainska communities of the Synelnykivskyi District in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. This applies to families with children, who must be relocated to safer areas due to the security situation.
According to Ganzha, families with children must leave the dangerous settlements within a month.
“Families with children must leave those areas within a month. Parents, guardians, or legal representatives are responsible for relocating 2,177 boys and girls to safer areas,” the regional governor noted.
The National Police and charitable organizations are involved in organizing the evacuation. They are determining evacuation routes based on the current security situation.
Armored vehicles and body armor are being used to transport residents.
Initially, evacuees are taken to transit centers, after which, if necessary, they are assisted with further resettlement.
The decision to carry out a mandatory evacuation stems from the need to protect children and families from danger in the frontline areas of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
This was announced by Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration.
In the capital, authorities have begun collecting data on residents who may need temporary relocation in the event of a prolonged power or heating outage this winter. This primarily concerns single seniors, people with disabilities, and families raising children with disabilities.
As a reminder, the National Security and Defense Council approved a resilience plan for Kyiv, and its implementation has already begun.
Zelenskyy suggested that Ukraine is being denied air defense missiles in an effort to coerce it into negotiations with Russia.
