SBS drones disrupted Russian logistics in the south
Russian troops have encountered serious problems on one of the main logistics routes in southern Ukraine. Unmanned aerial vehicle units, together with other defense units, have launched large-scale strikes against the occupiers’ equipment and supply lines. The 412th Nemesis UAV Brigade reported this on Facebook and released a video.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ unmanned aerial vehicle units announced that they had blocked a key logistics route for Russian troops in southern Ukraine. The route in question is Highway R-280, which passes through the temporarily occupied cities of Mariupol and Melitopol and leads to Crimea.
The 412th Nemesis Brigade reported on the operation. The military published a video of strikes on Russian equipment and supply convoys. The brigade says that, together with other Defense Forces, they have launched a large-scale hunt for the occupiers’ rear logistics. “The priority targets are military equipment and the occupiers’ supplies in their so-called ‘deep rear,’” Nemesis stated.
According to the military, new secret strike “wings” are being used for these strikes. These are drones that have not been publicly demonstrated before. The brigade emphasized that the system was created specifically for the task of striking enemy rear supply routes from a distance. “Thanks to close cooperation between 412 Nemesis and the manufacturer, we were able to create a system perfectly adapted for precisely such tasks,” the military reported.
Nemesis says the results are already visible. According to their data, Ukrainian drones have destroyed dozens of Russian trucks, fuel tankers, and support vehicles. Because of this, the brigade claims, the occupiers were forced to restrict the movement of heavy equipment along the “Novorossiya” highway, which the Russians actively use to transfer resources between the occupied territories in the south and Crimea.
At the same time, attempts to bypass dangerous sections via dirt roads are also proving ineffective. “Ukrainian drones successfully detect and neutralize targets in any terrain,” the brigade stated.
Military officials emphasize that strikes against logistics remain one of the key priorities for the Defense Forces. It is precisely through the supply of fuel, ammunition, and equipment that the Russian army supports its units on the front lines.
In recent months, Ukrainian drones have been operating with increasing frequency not only along the front lines but also deep behind enemy lines. They have been particularly active in the south and in areas that supply Russian forces in the Zaporizhzhia region and Crimea.
