Throughout May, DTEK’s energy workers restored power to nearly two million households that had been left without electricity due to enemy shelling. The company notes that emergency crews promptly carried out restoration work immediately after receiving permission from the military and rescue services. This made it possible to restore power to the homes of Ukrainians in various regions affected by the attacks.
This was reported with reference to a DTEK statement.
Thus, in the last month of spring, the enemy continued to attack peaceful cities and villages and destroy energy infrastructure.
"Despite all the security challenges and difficulties of wartime, DTEK’s energy workers managed to fully or partially restore power to residents of nearly 1,600 settlements and restore electricity supply to nearly 2 million Ukrainian households," the statement said.
In particular, the most restorations took place in Donetsk Oblast, where energy workers restored power to 1.3 million families following enemy attacks. Also:
in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, energy workers managed to restore power to 607,000 families within a month;
in Odesa Oblast, 76,700 households that had been left without power due to enemy attacks now have electricity again;
in Kyiv Oblast, despite all the challenges, energy workers were able to restore power to 22,100 homes in May.
In Kyiv, the Russian Federation damaged a DTEK production site during an attack.
In Kyiv, 60 cars were burned out and two security guards were killed as a result of a massive attack by the Russian Federation.
As a reminder, the death toll from the massive drone attack on Odesa on January 27 has risen to four. An elderly man died in the hospital from his injuries.
On the night of January 29, Russia struck Odesa with attack drones, causing a fire at one of the industrial facilities.
As a reminder, the enemy attacked an infrastructure facility in Odesa with drones.
Drones also attacked an oil depot in the Voronezh region.
