A key condition for deploying the contingent is a complete ceasefire, as the mission will be exclusively peacekeeping in nature.
The French side emphasizes that this initiative is separate from the direct conflicts between the warring parties in the region.
In addition to maritime security, the French president emphasized the need for a comprehensive approach to resolving the situation in the Middle East.
