Court Orders Arrest of Defense Company Executive in Case Involving Explosions in Vyshneve
The Solomyansky District Court of Kyiv has imposed a preventive measure on Ruslan Kuchynsky, the production director of JSC “Aviation and Rocket-Technical Machinery Manufacturing Company,” Ruslan Kuchynskyi, who is suspected of professional negligence in the case of the explosions at the ammunition depot in Vyshneve.
The court granted the prosecution’s motion and remanded the suspect in custody for two months—until September 14. The pretrial measure was imposed without the possibility of bail.
After the hearing, Kuchynskyi declined to comment on the court’s decision and did not answer questions from journalists.
In Vyshneve, Kyiv Oblast, 253 private residential buildings were damaged as a result of a Russian attack. Nine people were killed in the strike. As of the evening of July 7, 18 victims were being treated in medical facilities, where they are receiving the necessary care.
During the Russian attack on Vyshneve on the night of July 6, a dog named Yosya was locked inside a house that caught fire. The owners were certain he had died, but the animal managed to escape the flames.
