Interim leaders have been replaced in the Kyiv and Mykolaiv regions

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed new interim heads of the Kyiv and Mykolaiv regional military administrations. These personnel changes came after the previous regional heads moved to positions in the new Cabinet of Ministers.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed decrees appointing interim acting heads of the Kyiv and Mykolaiv regional state administrations. The head of state adopted the relevant decisions on July 16. According to the documents, Ruslan Oliinyk has been appointed acting head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration. Meanwhile, Georgiy Reshetilov has been appointed acting head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.

These personnel changes are related to the reshuffling of the government. The previous regional heads left their posts after moving to work in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. As a reminder, the Verkhovna Rada approved the new government lineup, after which the president began making appointments to fill the positions that had become vacant due to officials’ transfer to the Cabinet of Ministers.

The newly appointed officials will serve as acting heads of the regions until a decision is made on the appointment of permanent heads of the regional administrations. At this time, there is no information on when such appointments might take place. They took effect following the signing of Decrees No. 616/2026 and No. 617/2026.

Ivan Vygivsky was dismissed from his position as head of the National Police of Ukraine on July 16. Until a new head is appointed, his duties will be performed by First Deputy Maksym Tsutsikiridze.
