The titles at stake in the Usyk–Verhoeven fight have been announced

Oleksandr Usyk, who has previously been crowned undisputed world champion three times, currently holds three of the four major heavyweight titles. In his bout against Rico Verhoeven, the Ukrainian is technically risking several titles; however, the fight is officially sanctioned by the WBC as a championship bout, so only that belt will be on the line. Verhoeven is not ranked by other boxing organizations and is not eligible to challenge for their titles.

In two organizations, Oleksandr Usyk is considered the best and holds the belts, but there are other boxers who hold the title of “interim” or “regular” champion.

This refers to the WBA, which considers Murat Gassiev the regular champion, as well as the WBC, where the interim champion is Germany’s Agit Kabayel, who is eager to face Usyk.

According to the IBF and The Ring magazine, Usyk is also the best in the world. Only the WBO belt does not currently belong to him—there, Daniel Dubois has regained the championship after taking the title from Fabio Wardley.
