In Odesa, a foreign national had his residence permit revoked for assaulting a Ukrainian woman

In Odesa, a foreign national had his residence permit revoked for assaulting a Ukrainian woman

A high-profile incident occurred in Odesa involving a Turkish citizen whose actions posed a direct threat to public order, public health, and the lawful rights and interests of Ukrainian citizens

The foreign national committed a criminal offense involving physical violence against an elderly woman

State authorities responded immediately to the offense and revoked the man’s right to remain in our country.

According to official data from law enforcement agencies, the offense was recorded on June 13, 2026.

Yildiz Ugur, a Turkish citizen born in 1968, committed a criminal offense against Natalia Ivanivna, a Ukrainian citizen born in 1958.

The man grossly violated public order out of blatant disrespect for society, acting with particular audacity.

The response of Ukrainian government agencies to the unlawful actions of the foreign citizen was as prompt and principled as possible.

Upon the recommendation of the Strategic Investigations Office in the Odesa region of the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police of Ukraine, the Main Directorate of the State Migration Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region decided to revoke the immigration permit to Ukraine granted to the aforementioned citizen.

This decision automatically revoked the legal grounds for his continued stay in the country.

The next step taken by the migration agency was the complete revocation of documents previously issued to the foreign national. A decision was also made to invalidate, seize, and destroy the permanent residence permit in Ukraine issued on the basis of this immigration permit.

Preparations are currently underway for enforcement proceedings against the offender.

With this decision, the State Migration Service of Ukraine has once again demonstrated that the law on the territory of our state applies equally to everyone, without exception.

The hospitality of the Ukrainian people cannot serve as an excuse for those who flout the country’s laws, endanger people’s personal safety, and show blatant disrespect for society.

This was reported by the State Migration Service of Ukraine.
