Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on the sidelines of the European Political Community summit in Armenia to discuss steps toward ending the war. The head of state expressed his readiness for a new round of trilateral meetings aimed at achieving a stable ceasefire and reliable security guarantees. 

Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on his Telegram channel.

 

The key topics of the talks were the upcoming International Conference on Ukraine’s Recovery and the development of good-neighborly relations in the region. The President expressed gratitude to Warsaw for supporting Kyiv’s European aspirations and emphasized his expectation that negotiation clusters on EU membership would open as soon as possible. The parties also coordinated joint actions with international partners to increase pressure on Russia.

Zelenskyy’s visit to Yerevan aims to implement a €90 billion support package and strengthen Ukraine’s air defense system. The leaders paid special attention to energy security amid Russia’s ongoing attacks on critical infrastructure. The meeting reaffirmed the strategic nature of the partnership between Ukraine and Poland on security and reconstruction issues.

During a meeting in Yerevan, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed to Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo that they strengthen their partnership by signing a “drone deal.” 

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre during his visit to Yerevan. The head of state expressed gratitude for the significant support, particularly for contributions to the PURL program totaling nearly $1 billion.

Zelenskyy arrived in the Armenian capital, where the two-day European Political Community summit begins on May 3. A series of bilateral meetings with the prime ministers of the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Finland, and Norway is scheduled for the first day of the visit.

Zelenskyy will hold a bilateral meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk during the summit in Yerevan. Tusk announced this before departing for Armenia, where leaders from nearly fifty countries will gather.
