Kia reveals teasers of PV7 electric van ahead of Hanover premiere
Kia has released the first teaser images of the PV7 electric van. The model’s world premiere is scheduled for September 14, 2026, at the IAA Transportation exhibition in Hanover, Germany. The PV7 will become Kia’s second dedicated model in the PBV (Platform Beyond Vehicle) electric lineup after the PV5.
As Motor1 reports, the PV7 will belong to the light commercial vehicle segment. Kia says the new model will be more spacious and versatile than the seven-seat PV5, the first model in this family. The automaker aims to cover a wider range of commercial and recreational applications.
Platform and exterior
The Kia PV7 is based on the dedicated E-GMP.S electric platform, which is also used by the PV5. The teasers show a one-box body silhouette with balanced proportions.

The hood and pillar trim are finished in black, contrasting with the body. This design element complements the distinctive front and rear lighting, which is stylistically linked to other Kia models. The images show the PV7 in everyday scenarios related to work and leisure.
Premiere at IAA Transportation
At the exhibition in Hanover, Kia will also showcase several previously presented PV5 versions, including the PV5 Crew Van and the fleet-oriented PV5 Chassis Cab. The manufacturer calls the PV7 and its future derivative models one of the components of its PBV strategy for business customers.
According to Kia, the modular E-GMP.S architecture makes it possible to create different body types and configurations on a common technical basis. At present, the PV7 is the brand’s only announced model for the light commercial electric vehicle segment that will be larger than the PV5.
