The Verge: The 2027 Corvette Grand Sport X Features a 721-strong hybrid powertrain
The 2027 Corvette Grand Sport X is equipped with a hybrid powertrain producing 721 k. s. and an all-wheel-drive system. The Verge reports this following a test drive of the sports car. The author of the article, Lawrence Ulrich, called this version the first Grand Sport of its kind.
The journalist tested the car over the course of three days. The route ran from Manhattan through the Catskill Mountains, as well as across Long Island and New England. The test began in the midst of a heavy downpour. According to Ulrich, in sport mode, the car maintained good tire grip on the wet road surface.

The Grand Sport X features a mid-engine layout and is designed for track use. The car is equipped with a new LS6 V8 engine. According to the author of The Verge, the all-wheel-drive system gives the driver confidence behind the wheel.
Ulrich noted that the model is hardly a typical representative of the mass-market automotive sector. At the same time, he views the Grand Sport X as an example of the combination of hybrid technology and high dynamic performance.
