Red CentreNATS festival in Australia draws 700 participants
The 12th Red CentreNATS automotive festival was held in the Australian city of Alice Springs, with about 700 participants registered this year. The four-day event featured city cruises, displays of classic and modern muscle cars, drag racing, burnout competitions and a street parade. This was reported by ABC News Australia.
Participants from different states
More than half of the registered participants came to Alice Springs from other Australian states. Each year, the festival generates approximately $5 million in revenue for the local economy.
Among the participants were Ben Taylor and his daughter Montana, who came from South Australia. Ben Taylor lined up for a drag race in a classic Ford Falcon XC 393 Stroker, while Montana sat in the passenger seat. She said she was happy to have the opportunity to attend the event and would like to get behind the wheel of her father's car someday.

Classic cars and a city parade
Local resident Paul Totani enters his light-blue 1984 Holden Kingswood ute in Red CentreNATS every year. According to him, the vehicle has spent its entire life in Alice Springs and will later be passed on to his children as a family heirloom. At the festival, Totani took part in a run on a dirt drag track.
At the Show and Shine exhibition, owners displayed cars outdoors and at the Alice Springs Convention Centre. During the annual street parade, hundreds of cars drove through the city's largest roundabout near the MacDonnell Ranges. Local volunteer Lisa Morgan, who has been helping the event for several years, said such events bring together the residents of Alice Springs.
