Photo: The State Emergency Service showed the harrowing aftermath of Russia's nighttime attack on Kyiv
The State Emergency Service has released photos of the destruction caused by a massive Russian strike on Kyiv on the night of July 6. High-rise residential buildings in the capital were damaged; rescue workers continue to deal with the aftermath of the attack, and there are reports of fatalities and dozens of injuries.
The State Emergency Service reported that the Podil, Darnytsia, and Obolon districts of the capital suffered the most damage. In the Podil district, for example, rescue workers evacuated 17 people from a damaged residential building. Another 28 residents were rescued from the upper floors using a ladder truck. Additionally, debris was reported to have fallen at the 16th-floor level of the 25-story building.
Meanwhile, search and rescue operations are ongoing in a 21-story residential building, where the impact caused structural damage from the second to the fifth floors.
In the Darnytskyi district, debris struck a 25-story building at the fourth-floor level. In another residential building, a fire broke out in apartments covering an area of 150 square meters. At yet another location, apartments on the 23rd through 25th floors of a high-rise caught fire after being struck by debris.

As a reminder, seven people were killed as a result of the massive strike on Kyiv.
Earlier, Zelenskyy warned that Russia was preparing a new massive strike.
As a reminder, the Russians last launched a massive attack on Ukraine on the night of July 2. At that time, Russian forces launched 496 UAVs of various types and 74 missiles—air-, ground-, and sea-based—of various types at Ukraine.
