Kyiv Receives 72 Generators from Germany: Klitschko Shows Off the Aid
Kyiv has received a new shipment of generators from its German sister cities, Hamburg and Leipzig.
This was announced by the capital’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko.
According to him, 72 generators of various capacities have already been delivered to the city since the beginning of the year, and the final part of this aid has now arrived.
Leipzig provided 49 generators with capacities ranging from 60 to 300 kW, two more at 280 and 710 kW, as well as 850 meters of cable. Hamburg provided 21 generators (60–110 kW) and 290 meters of cable.

Klitschko emphasized that this aid is critically important amid the energy crisis caused by Russian attacks on infrastructure.
The mayor thanked the sister cities for their support and noted that Kyiv’s cooperation with Leipzig has been ongoing for 65 years.
The Belgian Agency for International Cooperation (Enabel) delivered four generators with a total capacity of 1.62 MW to Ukraine. The equipment was provided for the needs of the Kyiv municipal utility Kyivteploenergo and will help ensure stable heat generation in Kyiv.
The State Agency of Ukraine for the Development of Land Reclamation, Fisheries, and Food Programs received 40 generators and modern heavy equipment from the U.S. government to support land reclamation systems in frontline and arid regions.
