Klitschko honored Azov fighters on National Guard Day
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko honored servicemen of the 1st Azov Corps with awards from the city on the occasion of Ukrainian National Guard Day.
According to him, 11 soldiers received awards during a session of the Kyiv City Council. They were presented with the “Badge of Honor” and the “Honor. Glory. State” medals.
Klitschko thanked the soldiers for their courage and for carrying out combat missions, emphasizing that they risk their lives every day for the sake of Ukraine’s freedom and future.

He also honored the memory of fallen defenders.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko stated that the Cabinet of Ministers did not include the capital in the general budget for aid to cities as part of the implementation of energy sustainability plans. Despite the timely submission of proposals developed by experts, the government denied the city financial and legislative support following a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council.
In response, the Kyiv City State Administration stated that the Yevhen Paton Bridge across the Dnipro River in Kyiv can continue to be used for traffic, but with compliance with current weight restrictions.
